We exist primarily to provide Bible-based training to men and women who will equip others and nurture the churches in Mozambique and other Portuguese speaking nations of Africa (2 Timothy 2:2; Colossians 1:28-29).
Our vision is to continue training a new generation of servant leaders and to foster a sustainable theological institution of higher learning that will provide a solid Bible-based, Christ-centered, and Spirit-led education across denominations in Mozambique and other Portuguese speaking nations of Africa.
CDL’s primary goals are to equip in leadership foundations and skills, educate for servant leadership in the church and teaching ministries, and to empower for ministry collaboration among evangelicals.
In response to the crying need of evangelicals in Mozambique and Portuguese speaking nations of Africa, the Center for Development of Leadership was founded in 1994 by Dr. Isaias Uaene, a native of Mozambique.

We Need Your Help
Please consider praying for and/or financially supporting CDL. We also have short-term ministry opportunities if you would like to come serve with us in Mozambique.
We are a multi-denominational and non-profit ministry solely supported by contributions of individuals and organizations in harmony with our purposes. All the financial support received for the ministry is appropriated directly toward the spreading of the Gospel and leadership development.
Because we are training pastors and church leaders in low economic countries, CDL provides training at virtually no cost to the students. However, it takes money and facilities to provide this ministry training.
For a donation of $40 per month, you can adopt a student in our two-year diploma program. For $110 per month, you can send a student through our bachelor’s degree program.
We are also in the middle of expanding our facilities. As we make progress, we look forward to providing even more students with biblical training. Please consider donating toward our facility construction.
